BIOGRAPHY
Vishesh Singh is the drummer for Bloodywood, an Indian metal band renowned for blending traditional Indian folk music with modern metal genres. Born on September 26, 1993, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Vishesh began playing drums at the age of 14 and has been performing live since then.
In 2016, Vishesh joined Bloodywood, contributing to their unique fusion of nu metal, folk metal, and rap metal. The band gained international attention with their 2018 cover of "Ari Ari," a Punjabi folk song, and their original track "Jee Veerey," which addresses mental health issues. Their debut album, "Rakshak," released in 2022, received critical acclaim and charted on the Billboard US and UK Official Charts.
Vishesh's drumming has been integral to Bloodywood's dynamic performances. He has shared stages with renowned artists and bands, including a collaboration with Japanese metal band Babymetal on the single "Bekhauf" in December 2024.
Additionally, Bloodywood has performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza India, Download Festival, and Hellfest, showcasing their music to a global audience.
Vishesh's dedication to his craft is evident in his resilience; after losing fingers in a motorcycle accident, he adapted by tying his drumsticks to his hands and continued to play, demonstrating his commitment to music.
